DAY 1: CHEKETOURS - HUSTAI NATIONAL PARK - LUN: 155 kms
Departure from Cheketours to avoid the traffic in UB. This is the big start. Today, you can drive to Lun through the Hustai Nuruu Nature Reserve. This nature reserve is a mountain where wild Prejevalsky horses are being re-introduced.
You can sleep in a small hotel just opposite the petrol station in Lun or in gers in Hustai national park.
DAY 2: LUN TO OGII LAKE 193 kms
A freshwater lake in eastern Arkhangai, in central Mongolia. It is known for its fish and for it birdlife. It is a stopover point for migrating waterbirds of the family Anatidae. Almost half the lake is less than 3 m deep.
There are several yurts from nomad families where you can sleep.
DAY 3: OGII LAKE TO TSENKHER HOT SPRINGS: 122 kms
An easy day of driving that will be rewarded on arrival by hot water baths in which you will dive with delight.
Sleep in yurts from nomad families or tourist camp.
DAY 4: TSENKHER - TOVKHON MONASTERY- ORKHON WATER FALL: 124 kms
A SMALL 2 HOURS TREK - One of most beautiful monastery complex, situated on a forested rocky mountain, on the boarder of Uvurhangai and Arhangai provinces.ﾠ
Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar choose this place to build a monastery in 1648, when he was 14 years old. The construction of the monastery started in 1651.ﾠ
Sleep in yurt - nomad family next to the Orkhon Water fall or tourist camp.
DAY 5: ORKHON WATER FALL TO KHARKHORIN: 100 kms
The ancient capital of the Mongolian Unified Empire back to the XIII century and Erdene Zuu Monastery, a monastery built back in 1586 using not a single nail
Sleep in guesthouses or hotels that are plentiful in the city
DAY 6: KHARKHORIN TO KHOGNO KHAN: 80 kms
Rocky formations of Khogno Khan : semidesert steppes, taiga, stunning rocky formations, 80-kilometre (49,71 miles) long sand dunes, are characteristic of this arid area nicknamed "Mini-Gobi".
